This should result in Steam attempting to run the game but requiring "FalloutLauncherSteam.exe" and the "current" "Fallout3.exe". Run "FalloutLauncher.exe" inside of the Folder. Run the Game FROM THE STEAM INSTALLATION FOLDER, WHILE STEAM IS RUNNING, NOT IN STEAM. Paste the Depot Folder contents in to the "official" Steam Installation Folder from Step 5. Keep these Depot Files for now, do not delete them yet if you plan to. Copy everything from the Depot Download Folder you have just backed up, or the original directory Steam downloaded to in Step 3. Delete everything inside the Steam Installation Folder you have just navigated to. It should be something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 3 goty" 6. You can do this by right clicking on the game in your Steam Library, going to "Manage" in the Drop down Menu, then clicking "Browse local files". Once it is installed, or if it already was, open the Steam Installation Folder. Install Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition on Steam if you haven't already. The path should be something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_22370\depot_22371" 4. Navigate to the folder it tells you the Depot downloaded to and then copy it somewhere else. It will tell you the folder it downloaded to. I ran the same command as before, again, and it downloaded properly that time. The download failed and gave me the response "CAPIJobRequestUserStats - Server response failed 2".
